20% Bonus on Chase Transfers to Air Canada
There’s a new bonus available on transfers from Chase Ultimate Rewards to Air Canada Aeroplan. Through July 15th, 2024 you will now get a 20% bonus when transferring Chase points to Aeroplan. This is hard coded on Chase’s side so you’ll see it when you go to transfer your points.

You do need to have either the Chase Sapphire Preferred or the Chase Sapphire Reserve in order to transfer points to any of Chase’s partners.
Air Canada Aeroplan
The frequent flyer program for Air Canada is known as Aeroplan and is one of my favorite ways to get around the world in business class. In addition to being a member of the Star Alliance, they partner with a number of non-alliance partners. In total there are a whopping 52 airlines you can use Aeroplan points for.
Business class to Europe for 70,000 Aeroplan points and low taxes and fees? Sign me up.
Additionally you can add a stopover on awards for only 5,000 additional points which is really nice. Now that I have a (beautiful) little daughter one of my favorite things about Aeroplan is that you can add a lap infant for only 2,500 points each way. Typically, most airlines will charge 10% of the adult cash fare which can add up quickly.
Book Economy, Business, or First Class on Lufthansa
With this bonus from Chase, you would only need 83,333 Ultimate Rewards points to book Lufthansa First Class, or only 58,333 in business class.
I’m eyeing a flight home from Munich in a few weeks and will be taking advantage of this transfer bonus if/when a flight on Lufthansa if First Class opens up. Typically, Lufthansa only releases award space to their partners, like Aeroplan, within 15 days of travel and First Class even closer in.
Normally, I like to use my Chase points for transfers to Hyatt but for a transfer like this, I’d happily use my points this way.
83,333 Chase points or almost $10,000?
Receive and Extra 10% with the Air Canada Aeroplan Card
This is probably pretty niche, but if you are a Chase Air Canada Aeroplan cardholder, you can receive an additional 10% when transferring Chase points to Aeroplan. These offers stack so you can receive a total of 30% bonus points.
This applies when transferring more than 50,000 points in one transaction
You can receive at most 25,000 points per year
It can take up to 7 days but should post within 3.
Wrapping Up
Chase is out with a great bonus to Air Canada Aeroplan where you can get a 20% bonus on transferred points and up to 30% if you have the Aeroplan Credit Card. While I wouldn’t speculatively transfer them, it is a nice little bonus if you have a flight in mind.
