Travel Accessories I Never Leave Home Without
Traveling isn’t always easy.Even if you are a frequent traveler, you get thrown in new situations all the time. Between flight delays, a seat with inoperable power outlets, or even a noisy hotel room, travel can get frustrating. I’ve curated a list of all my travel accessories and gadgets I never leave home without.
These noise cancelling headphones are great for flights to drown out the ambient noise around you. I’ve had a pair of Bose headphones for almost 10 years and feel naked without them on a plane. The noise cancelling is incredible and wirelessly pair to all of your devices through bluetooth. Best of all, they last for up to 24 hours so you can listen to music or watch a movie even on the longest flights in the world
Clayton and Crume Passport Holder
This handcrafted leather Passport Holder is the perfect travel companion. Ideal for holding a Passport, boarding passes, foreign currency & a variety of cards while on the road and abroad. You can also get it monogrammed with your initials
Now that you have your wireless headphones, how do you connect it to the Inflight Entertainment (IFE)? The AirFly Pro is a tiny dongle that I keep in my Bose case. All you do is pair it to your headphones and plug it into the headphone jack on the IFE and your audio will stream right into your ears. No more annoying cords connecting you to the screen in front of you.
Belkin Magnetic Wireless Car Charger
If you ever rent a car this little device is a must. It clips into your car’s air conditioning vent and allows you to stick your MagSafe compatible phone to it with a magnet. It also comes with a power cord and plug so you can charge on the go. No need to stare down at your lap when you’re lost in a new city anyore!
Drop one of these in each of your bags to know where they are at all times. Whether a checked bag or your carry on, these little guys can be a lifesaver.
EPICA Universal Travel Adapter
While a lot of hotels abroad have universal outlets, many do not. This travel adapter can allow you to plug in up to 6 of your devices at once wherever you are in the world. It has 4 USB-A outlets, one USB-C and one standard outlet and will work in over 150 different countries.
Whether you’re on an overnight flight or in a new hotel room, this sleep mask is a must. Light is one of the most annoying things when you’re trying to get a little sleep. Their unique cushioned eye cups keep 100% of the light out without being uncomfortable.
When you’re ready to fall asleep, these ear plugs pair perfectly with the Manta Sleep Mask. With 4 different sized tips, you will be sure to find the perfect fit. While I love the ambient noise of a jet engine, your neighbors or crew announcements can easily wake you up without a pair of these.
Don’t have access to an outlet? This power bank from ZMI is my go to on the road. With 20,000 milliampere hour of battery you can charge your devices from your cell phone to even your laptop with ease. It comes with 2 USB-A and 1 USB-C outlets and can recharge in as little as 3 hours.
Yogasleep Rohm Portable Sound Machine
This little guy is great for a hotel room that is a little too noisy for your liking. It drowns out all the sound with 3 different noises to choose from. It will last for up to 8 hours on a single charge.
Yogasleep Rohm Portable Sound Machine
The Rohm+ has a total of 20 sounds to choose from and last for up to 20 hours on a single charge.
Briggs and Riley Baseline Essential Carry-On
This is my go to carry on which fits perfectly in an overhead bin. I prefer this to a four wheel spinner as it give you more interior space, but they also offer a 4 wheel spinner version as well. Best of all, there’s a cool expansion feature to help you fit more stuff inside while keeping the overall size small enough to still fit on a plane. It also has a tri-fold garmet compartment to keep 1-2 suits (or dresses) wrinkle free.
Briggs & Riley @Work Large Cargo Backpack
I bring this backpack everywhere and keep it packed with all the accessories above. There’s plenty of room for everything you need on the go with a separate laptop compartment, a side zippered pouch where I keep my portable battery and tons of spots inside to keep your things organized.
Clayton and Crume Weekender Duffle
I love everything the guys over at Clayton and Crume make. All of their products are handcrafted with full-grain leather to last a lifetime and then some. This Weekender is perfect for a carry on or a road trip, but I would not recommend checking this bag as it is way too nice to get thrown around by baggage handlers under a plane.
Wrapping Up
These eight travel accessories stay in my backpack at all times. They are crucial in getting a good night sleep and keeping my devices charged at all times. What else do you carry that I’m missing?
