Transfer Citi Points to Avianca LifeMiles with a 25% Bonus

We have another great promotion to earn bonus miles when transfering credit card points to an airline partner. Like we saw earlier with Chase offering a 25% bonus to Air France, this time around we have a 25% bonus when transferring points from Citi to Avianca LifeMiles.

How to Earn Citi ThankYou Points

You can earn Citi ThankYou Points through the Citi Premier, Citi Double Cash, Citi Rewards+, or Citi Custom Cash. The Citi Premier and Double Cash are an incredible card combo where you can earn 3x points on airfare, travel, gas, and grocery stores as well as 2x points on everything else.

Avianca LifeMiles

I’m sure 99% of you have probably never heard of Avianca or their frequent flyer program known as LifeMiles. They’re a South American airline that is a member of Star Alliance.

LifeMiles are also pretty easy to come by as they are a transfer partner of American Express, Citi, and Capital One.

I’ve booked tons of flights with LifeMiles over the years but I don’t think I’ve ever actually stepped foot on one of their planes. Being a member of Star Alliance means you can use LifeMiles on any of their partner airlines to book flights from first class on Lufthansa for 87,000 miles or business class for 63,000 also on Lufthansa or on Swiss, Austrian, United or a ton of other carriers.

Use LifeMiles to book Lufthansa First Class for only 87,000 miles

With this bonus from Citi, you would only need 69,600 Citi ThankYou Points to book Lufthansa first class!

Wrapping Up

Citi is out with a great bonus to Avianca LifeMiles where you can get a 25% bonus on transferred points. While I wouldn’t speculatively transfer them, it is a nice little bonus if you have a flight in mind.
