Bilt Rent Day February Promotion
The Bilt Mastercard is an incredible no annual fee card especially for those who rent. It allows you to pay your rent on your credit card even if your landlord doesn’t accept credit card payments, all for no fee.
On the first of each month, Bilt offers a promotion where you get double points (excluding rent) as well as different transfer bonus opportunities. We just learned what February 2024’s promotion is and it is pretty exciting.
Earn 2-6x Bilt Points on Rent Day Purchases
On every day besides the 1st of every month, you earn the following:
3x points on dining
2x points on travel
1x points on all other purchases
From 12am EST to 11:59pm PST every purchase you make will receive double points. So for those roughly 27 hours you’ll earn the following:
6x points on dining
4x points on travel
2x points on all other purchases
1x points on rent (this is never doubled)
On the first of every month, this card turns into one of the best cards out there, certainly for dining, most travel (airfare is still best on the American Express Platinum earning 5x points), and all other purchases. Even if you don’t rent, this card still makes a lot of sense to pick up.
With this offer, you can earn up to 10,000 bonus points each month. Now keep in mind, to earn points on your rent payments you need to make at least 5 transactions per month so you could strategically make those 5 purchases (if not more) on Rent Day.
Transfer Points to Air Canada Aeroplan with Up to a 150% Bonus
One of the other great things on Rent Day is that Bilt tends to offer some additional promotions. Well for February 2024 they are offering up to a 150% bonus on points transferred to Air Canada Aeroplan.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Aeroplan, they are one of my favorite frequent flyer programs out there. Their points are extremely easy to come by since they are a transfer partner of American Express, Chase, Capital One and Bilt. Air Canada is a member of the Star Alliance so you can use those Aeroplan points for travel on Air Canada as well as any of their alliance partners as well as an additional 20 other airlines. Aeroplan also allows a stopover on a one way award flight for only 5,000 extra points and only charges 2,500 points if you are traveling with a lap infant internationally which is a steal.
Bilt has different elite status levels and with this promotion you can receive a transfer bonus of between 75% and 150%.
Blue: 75% bonus
Silver: 100% bonus
Gold: 125% bonus
Platinum: 150% bonus
I wouldn’t normally recommend speculatively transferring points without an award in mind but with this promotion it might make sense. Aeroplan charges just 60,000 points each way in business class or 90,000 points in first class. Depending on your status, this could mean you could score a first class ticket on Lufthansa for only 60,000 points! Even if you had no status at all with Bilt, you could still score that same flight for only 75,000 points.
Wrapping Up
Bilt is back with another incredible Rent Day promotion. In addition to earning double points on all purchases they are offering up to a 150% transfer bonus when transferring points to Air Canada Aeroplan, on of my favorite programs out there. Don’t sleep on the Bilt Mastercard. Even if you don’t rent, this card could make a lot of sense to have in your wallet.
