American Express is out with a new targeted offer to earn 20,000 Membership Rewards points by enrolling in Pay Over Time. This is targeted so YMMV (your mileage may vary).
What is Pay Over Time?
American Express Membership Rewards earning cards like the Platinum, Gold, and Green cards are technically charge cards, not credit cards as you have to pay the balance in full each month. Now, you can carry a balance and pay interest on it which I do not recommend. So, Pay Over Time basically converts your card from a charge card to credit card.
Now, you don’t have to actually carry a balance after you enroll and I don’t recommend you do so.
